When you upgrade you device drivers are you uninstalling the PVS client tools, and upgrading the device drivers, and reinstalling PVS client tools? If it's chipset or network you have to do this offline by reverse image, Hyper-V direct boot, or XenServer direct boot. You can't do anything that affects network stack/chipset while the PVS client is online. What blue screen stop code do you get?
